Macdonald provides injury updates after Seahawks’ 20-3 Week 7 win over the Chiefs

Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald said receiver Rashid Shaheed and left tackle Charles Cross did not finish Sunday’s 20-3 win over the Chiefs.

The Story

The Seahawks came away with a 20-3 win over the Chiefs on Sunday night, but coach Mike Macdonald said the team had a couple of new injuries following the game.

Receiver Rashid Shaheed did not play in the second half due to a knee injury. After being announced as questionable to return, he was later downgraded to out, and Macdonald said he was unable to finish the game.

Left tackle Charles Cross exited in the fourth quarter with an ankle injury, and was ruled out after being evaluated by trainers. Macdonald said Cross also did not finish the game.

Macdonald said he did not have additional updates immediately after the final whistle beyond noting that Shaheed and Cross were unable to complete the contest.

The Seahawks also listed backup quarterback Drew Lock as inactive for Sunday’s game. The team reported that Lock was limited in practice all week, and Macdonald said after the game that he is “working through” an elbow injury, adding, “Not sure on the severity or how long it's going to be, but it was best for us right now to try to calm it down the best we can, so Jalen was ready to go if we needed it.”

Right guard Anthony Bradford returned from injured reserve for the game. Macdonald said Bradford “got through the game well” in his return.
