The Calgary Flames visit the Vancouver Canucks at Rogers Arena on Saturday night, featuring a matchup between 2024 first-round picks Zayne Parekh and Zeev Buium.
The Story
The Calgary Flames face the Vancouver Canucks at Rogers Arena on Saturday at 10 p.m. ET, setting up a key defensive matchup between two 20-year-old first-round selections from the 2024 NHL Draft.
Zayne Parekh was drafted by Calgary with the No. 9 pick in 2024, and he will line up against Zeev Buium, who was chosen by the Minnesota Wild with the No. 12 pick in that same draft class.
Buium was later traded to Vancouver in a deal that sent Quinn Hughes to Minnesota on Dec. 12, 2025, giving the Canucks a different roster look compared with their opening games.
Vancouver will meet Calgary for the first time this season after starting with consecutive games against the Edmonton Oilers.
