McKee Foods says Little Debbie snacks have returned to select Canadian stores after almost four years out of the market.

Little Debbie snacks are back in Canada after nearly four years missing from store shelves, with McKee Foods confirming the return in an email to Dished. The company said it began launching the products in Ontario in early September for the back-to-school season and has since expanded availability across most of Canada.
McKee Foods reported that the current range is now in major grocery retailers including Loblaws, Real Canadian Superstore, Zehrs and Maxi. It also said it plans to reintroduce additional varieties, but noted it does not yet have specific details on which products will be added or exactly when.
The return follows McKee Foods’ earlier decision in November 2022 that Little Debbie snacks would no longer be available in Canada. At the time, the company attributed the change to its then-sole distributor terminating its relationship with Little Debbie’s manufacturer, and said it would not seek a new distributor.
That announcement prompted community engagement, including a petition calling for the snacks to come back. As of the report, the petition had 262 signatures, though McKee Foods said it was “excited” to bring the products back and has not indicated the petition was the determining factor.
Little Debbie is best known for its single-serving, packaged baked goods, including a range of snack cakes and other treats. The current lineup available in Canada, according to the company, includes four Family Pack varieties: Swiss Rolls, Honey Buns, Oatmeal Creme Pies, and Cosmic Brownies.
For shoppers looking for the return, McKee Foods’ email indicates the products are already in select stores across Canada through the retailers named, with more varieties expected later. For now, the company’s stated launch includes those four Family Pack items while it works toward expanding the assortment.
