Canada Post says a dealer that operated a Canada Post postal outlet at 1424 Commercial Dr. has advised it the store is closing, with the outlet scheduled to shut permanently on Dec. 22, 2026.
The notice posted on the outlet’s door directs customers to the closest Canada Post locations at 1755 Broadway Ave. and 2746 East Hastings St. The Broadway location is described as about a 15-minute walk away, while the Hastings location is listed as over a 30-minute walk, or just over a five-minute drive (about 20 minutes via transit).
Canada Post said it is reviewing service requirements and assessing options in the area and that, once the closing date is confirmed, it will notify customers in advance following its standard process.
The changes to Canada Post’s retail network have been part of broader service modernization efforts described by the postal operator, including ending door-to-door delivery in some parts of Metro Vancouver announced earlier this year.
