Kraken unveil Space Needle-style anchor jersey for Nov. 4 home debut vs. Flames

The Seattle Kraken unveiled a new alternate “Hometown Remix” jersey on Monday and will debut it at home on Wednesday, Nov. 4 against the Calgary Flames.

The Story

The Seattle Kraken unveiled a new alternate “Hometown Remix” jersey on Monday, switching to a midnight-blue design built around Seattle-area symbolism ahead of its on-ice debut.

The team says the jersey is scheduled to debut Wednesday, Nov. 4 at home against the Calgary Flames. Kraken officials say the new look centres an anchor crest shaped like the Space Needle, while the team’s S logo moves to the shoulders.

Design details highlighted by the Kraken include ice-blue piping and a cream colourway that returns from the club’s 2024 Winter Classic jersey. The sleeve artwork depicts Puget Sound waters framed by Pacific Northwest mountain ranges, with Mount Rainier’s silhouette at the centre.

The jersey also incorporates multiple Washington references, including rhododendrons worked into the hemline using the state flower. The team says the name-and-number lettering draws from hand-painted markings traditionally found on vessels working Seattle’s harbours, while embroidery borrows from scrimshaw, a maritime engraving tradition.

According to the team, the jersey released Monday was available online and in Kraken team stores immediately. The Kraken also said Aaron Wiggan, the club’s vice-president of brand and creative, spent 18 months consulting with Fanatics on the design.

The Kraken plan to wear the Hometown Remix jersey six times this season, all as home games. After the Nov. 4 opener versus Calgary, the team is scheduled to wear it against the Edmonton Oilers on Nov. 28, the New York Islanders on Jan. 2, the Vancouver Canucks on Jan. 3, and twice against the St. Louis Blues on Feb. 13 and March 15.

The Hometown Remix theme is part of a leaguewide special-edition program from Fanatics and the NHL, covering all 32 teams with special-edition uniforms, apparel and headwear. Fanatics projected that 261 games in the 2026-27 season would include at least one team wearing the uniform, with both teams suited up in 19 of those matchups.

Fanatics says the program was developed over the prior two years and is its first full 32-team special-edition uniform program since becoming the league’s on-ice apparel partner. The company also announced new designs for all 32 teams.
