What to do in Metro Vancouver this weekend (Sept. 18–20): mini golf, family fairs and theatre

Metro Vancouver has a range of weekend events running Sept. 18–20, including mini golf in Stanley Park and performances at venues across the city.

The Story

Several family-friendly and arts events are scheduled across Metro Vancouver for the Sept. 18–20 weekend, including new attractions in the region’s parks and ongoing performances in Vancouver.

In Stanley Park, a temporary 18-hole Mini Golf Experience is set up for visitors, with hours listed from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday through Wednesday and 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Thursday through Saturday; the location is 690 Pipeline Road.

Also on the family calendar, Historic Stewart Farm and Totest Aleng: Indigenous Learning House will host a Harvest Fair on Sept. 19, 2026 at Elgin Heritage Park, featuring live performances, The Re-enactors, storytelling, a vendor market, and hands-on activities.

For those looking to stay outside the weekend window while still planning around it, the region’s events list highlights long-running seasonal and cultural attractions such as Autumn Lane at Taves Family Farms, which runs Sept. 12 to Oct. 31, and the Augmented Reality Solar System Tour at the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre, which runs every weekend and is included with general admission.

The weekend also includes major stage offerings in Vancouver. The play HEIST by Arun Lakra is scheduled for Sept. 17 to Oct. 18, 2026 at the Stanley BFL CANADA Stage, offering a run that begins just before the weekend.

On the music-and-theatre side, Tony Award-winning musical Avenue Q plays Sept. 18 to Oct. 10, 2026 at Metro Theatre Vancouver, placing its start directly on the weekend’s first day.

Another theatre option is Love (Manipulated), which is presented by Arts Umbrella with specific performance times listed for the weekend, including Sept. 19 at 7:20 p.m. and Sept. 20 at 2:15 p.m., with additional weekday and earlier weekend shows also listed.

For art viewing, the West Fine Art Show is scheduled for Sept. 18–20, 2026 at Glass House Estate Winery, described as a gathering of 20 artists with works centered on western Canadian life.

Several ongoing and monthly events are also noted as running beyond the weekend, including Culture Days from Sept. 18 to Oct. 4, 2026 (with locations varying across B.C.), and the Fire Dragon Festival taking place Sept. 18–19, 2026 in Vancouver Chinatown, with the main performance at 578 Carrall St.
