The Story
The Vancouver Canucks’ 2026-27 home opener is scheduled for October 1 at Rogers Arena against the Edmonton Oilers, with puck drop set for 7:00 p.m.
The club says pregame festivities, including Live at RBC Landing, begin at 5:00 p.m.
The event listing includes live music, interactive games, Canucks alumni autograph sessions, performances from the Canucks Dance Team, face painting, colouring stations, and light-up letters for a photo opportunity, along with a retail trailer.
Canucks Communications also says the first 10,000 fans through the doors will receive a limited-edition RBC jersey blanket.
The team says fans will also be able to take in the introduction of the 2026.27 roster and coaching staff, with special appearances from Canucks alumni, as part of the opening-night presentation.
The in-arena schedule also includes a new opening video experience, along with in-game prizes throughout the game.
The club says fans can visit the Lucky Booth at Section 111 to capture an opening-night moment and take home a printed keepsake.
As part of a new RBC partnership, the team says fans who pay with an RBC credit or debit card at concessions will receive 15% cash back as a statement credit on qualifying purchases.
The Canucks also describe a refreshed concourse space at Rogers Arena, with the Shelter Point Club introduced in partnership with Shelter Point Distillery. The club says the area features an updated bar, a new Sportsbar Live! location, and Smash by Provisions, starting with the home opener.
Finally, the Canucks say the home opener will include a chance to win an estimated $500,000 50/50 jackpot in support of the Canucks for Kids Fund, with 50/50 sales opening at 12:00 p.m. PST on September 28 and running through October 1 after the second intermission.
Tickets are available in-arena on October 1 or online, with limited seats remaining for the night at Rogers Arena, according to the announcement.
