Seattle opened a 21-day practice window for running back Jadarian Price and had previously activated Zach Charbonnet after his practice window began Oct. 1.
The Story
The Seattle Seahawks are getting closer to potentially adding two running backs back to their roster for their Week 8 matchup versus the Chicago Bears next Monday night, the team announced Monday.
Jadarian Price, who was placed on injured reserve after Week 3 with a chest and rib injury, saw his 21-day practice window officially open, giving him a chance to return for the Bears game.
Zach Charbonnet’s practice window opened on Oct. 1, and the Seahawks activated him to the 53-man roster last week. Charbonnet did not play against the Kansas City Chiefs, and coach Mike Macdonald has not ruled him out for the contest versus Chicago.
Seattle’s situation has been shaped by injuries to its backfield throughout the season. Velus Jones Jr. suffered a hamstring injury against the Chiefs and was described as questionable for Week 8, while Charbonnet has been out since the NFC divisional round in January after tearing his ACL.
The Seahawks played the Chiefs on Sunday night and won 20-3, with Seattle’s defense limiting Kenneth Walker III—now with Kansas City—to 36 rushing yards, the lowest total of his games this season.
With those injuries, Emanuel Wilson and George Holani were the only two healthy running backs on the roster listed in the report, with Wilson recording 403 yards and three touchdowns and Holani totaling 108 yards and one touchdown.
