An 80-year-old woman has died after a hit-and-run crash in Chilliwack, and police are asking for dashcam or CCTV footage of a suspect pickup.

Chilliwack RCMP say an 80-year-old cyclist died following a hit-and-run crash at the intersection of Portage Avenue and Woodbine Street on Saturday evening.
Police said the cyclist, described as a woman, was struck at about 6:00 p.m. and was pronounced dead at the scene.
RCMP stated that a suspect vehicle has been identified and seized as part of the ongoing investigation, but the case remains under active review.
An adult male driver was arrested after the crash and later released while investigators continue to gather information.
Police said investigators do not believe alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash, based on what they have found so far.
RCMP are asking the public to check for footage from the surrounding area, including CCTV and dashcams, particularly if it captured vehicles near Portage Avenue, Woodbine Street, Hazel Street, Menzies Street or Yale Road around the time of the collision.
The force is specifically seeking information about a burgundy/red 2021 Chevrolet Silverado crew cab seen in the area near the time of the crash.
