Sam Darnold says “consistency” is the key for Seahawks heading into mini-bye

Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold told Gregg Bell that consistency is the biggest focus as Seattle prepares for the Chiefs in a Sunday night game at Lumen Field.

The Story

With the Seattle Seahawks (3-3) set to host the Kansas City Chiefs (5-0) in Lumen Field this Sunday night, Darnold said he is using the Seahawks’ mini-bye to emphasize one quality in particular: “Consistency.”

Speaking in comments relayed by Gregg Bell of 93.3 KJR, Darnold said, “Really happy where we’re at,” adding that “there’s some things we got to get better at.”

Darnold said the team has “addressed those things,” and described the biggest priority as “just consistency,” explaining, “Consistency day in and day out… Got to prepare really well and do everything that we can to all be on the same page. And go out there so we can play decisively.”

Bell also reported that Darnold described the time to assess during Seahawks minicamp as positive, and that he would not share specifics on what he and the offence learned.
