Sports Page BC, a new digital sports media platform dedicated to covering sport from across British Columbia, is set to officially launch later in October.
The platform is co-founded by Scott Rintoul, a veteran broadcaster who got his start with Sports Page.
In a press release, Rintoul said the original Sports Page “celebrated the entire sports community,” adding that it was not only about “the biggest teams or the biggest headlines.”
He said Sports Page BC is built on a similar spirit, with a focus on stories that reflect young athletes, local coaches, community builders, and hometown success across the province.
The press release says Sports Page BC is intended to bring together experience in sports broadcasting, digital publishing, and business, with the goal of offering a more connected approach to sports coverage in B.C.
According to the release, the platform is currently recruiting “writers, photographers, broadcasters, and aspiring journalists.”
