Canucks mark 10th annual Diwali Night Nov. 3 with ceremonial puck drop at Rogers Arena

The Vancouver Canucks will host their 10th annual Diwali Night on November 3, featuring a ceremonial puck drop with Jazzy B at Rogers Arena.

The Story

The Vancouver Canucks are set to bring the Festival of Lights to Rogers Arena on November 3 for their 10th annual Diwali Night, as the team hosts the Anaheim Ducks at 7:00 p.m.

Celebrations will begin earlier at 5:00 p.m. at RBC Landing, with music from Club Mumbai DJs, food and chai samples from Chaiiwala of London, and glowing “Happy Diwali” letters for photo opportunities.

Canucks officials say the milestone will be marked by Punjabi music icon and bhangra superstar Jazzy B, a longtime Canucks fan, who will conduct a ceremonial puck drop at Rogers Arena.

The team said the Diwali Night tradition has featured custom logos inspired by the Festival of Lights over the past decade, naming Jag Nagra (2021.22), Sandeep Johal (2022.23), Jessie Sohpaul (2023.24), Keerat Kaur (2024.25) and Suki Kaur (2025.26). For the 2026.27 season, Vancouver-based artist Arpan Panglia is credited with designing the event’s latest logo, described as featuring divas representing strength, hope and resilience, hand sparklers, twinkle lights for welcome and togetherness, and flower-petal shapes inspired by rangoli.

The Canucks said Diwali Night programming will extend throughout Rogers Arena and RBC Landing with live music, photo opportunities and cultural experiences, along with an official 2026.27 Diwali Collection available at the Canucks Team Store and online at Vanbase.ca.

Additional activities listed by the Canucks include a retail trailer and concourse exhibits featuring DUDH SODA merchandise, a Lavish Photobooth, henna services, and stops such as The Indian Pantry and Nirvana Indian Cuisine with sample food options.

The Canucks for Kids Fund will also donate $20,000 to Guru Nanak Free Kitchen in recognition of ongoing community support, according to the team’s announcement.

Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, is described by the Canucks as a major religious celebration for Hindus, Jains and Sikhs, marked by decorations including divas (candles), deepavali (lamps) and Rangoli artwork.
