Abbotsford Canucks centre Braeden Cootes is dealing with a lower-body injury and is expected to miss Sunday’s game and an upcoming road trip.
The Story
Abbotsford Canucks centre Braeden Cootes remains out of the lineup with a lower-body injury, according to a Vancouver Canucks representative.
There is no timeline for his return, but Cootes is expected to miss Sunday’s game as well as the upcoming two-game road trip. He also missed Saturday’s Abbotsford victory with the same reported injury.
The AHL Canucks will be back in action at home on Sunday against the Calgary Wranglers before heading to California for two straight games.
Cootes has made an immediate impact for Abbotsford this season. In six games, he has scored three goals and recorded six points. He leads all U20 players in the AHL in goals and is the only player in that group currently at or above a point-per-game pace.
