A betting analyst at Covers has posted Bears–Seahawks predictions and odds for Monday night at Lumen Field, including a 46.5-game-total Under.
The Story
The Seattle Seahawks are listed as a 3.5-point home favourite over the Chicago Bears at Lumen Field on Monday night, with the game total set at 46.5.
In a Week 8 preview updated Nov. 1, 2026, Covers betting analyst Josh Inglis said he is targeting the Under 46.5, describing it as the highest season total for Seattle.
Inglis’ Under lean is supported by recent defensive results he cites from Seattle: he points to a game in which Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid were held to three points and zero red-zone trips, and he says no Seattle opponent has produced a 100-yard rusher in 36 straight games.
He also highlights a receiving and passing ceiling he attributes to the Seahawks, saying no quarterback has thrown for more than 189 yards against Seattle “all season,” including quarterbacks Mahomes, Drake Maye, Bo Nix and Brock Purdy.
On the Chicago side, Inglis said Kyle Monangai is “likely out,” which would leave D’Andre Swift facing a Seattle run defence he describes as allowing just 3.5 yards per carry, and he said Roschon Johnson “may have to shoulder more of the workload.”
Inglis also noted a midweek injury concern for Colston Loveland, adding that he does not expect the combination of Sam Darnold and Seattle’s running game to create much scoring confidence.
For a related betting angle, Inglis recommended a “combo” built around Jaxon Smith-Njigba, describing him as a key part of Seattle’s offence.
He said Smith-Njigba is tied to a “36% target share” and a league-leading “51% share of the Seahawks’ air yards,” and he called him “virtually unstoppable” in terms of how Seattle generates results.
Inglis’ touchdown pick also ties to production he cites: he said that when Smith-Njigba gets a touch, Seattle posts a “+0.53 EPA,” but it drops to “-0.03 when he doesn’t get the ball.”
The same approach includes a play that Inglis lists as Bears team total Under 21.5.
For receptions, Inglis’ other top pick was D’Andre Swift over 3.5 receptions, noting that Swift should be involved more heavily if Monangai is unavailable.
Inglis framed the statistical matchup further by pointing to what he described as Chicago’s challenges against opposing wide receivers, saying the Bears rank among three teams allowing at least one touchdown and 150-plus receiving yards per game to the position.
He also referenced a potential workload and coverage dynamic he expects could put Swift into the passing game, adding that if Loveland sits, he expects Swift to record 4-plus catches for the third consecutive game.
Beyond the core selections, Inglis’ page listed the Seahawks’ Monday-night pricing as follows: Bears +3.5, Seahawks -3.5; Over/Under 46.5 with Under at 51% and Over at 50%; and moneyline Bears at 40% and Seahawks at 60%.
Weather information included on the same preview said temperatures in Seattle should be around 50 degrees, with a 1% chance of rain and winds near 2 mph.
The preview also quoted an additional “COVERS INTEL” note attributing Smith-Njigba’s broader impact to an “80% EPA share over his 27 games with the Seahawks,” described as ranking first among 141 qualified receivers over their best 27-game stretch, per Sumer Sports.
