Bears at Seahawks: three NFL Week 8 player props highlighted for Monday night

A betting preview for Bears-Seahawks highlighted three player-prop bets: Caleb Williams over 21.5 rushing yards, Jaxon Smith-Njigba longest reception over 29.5 yards, and Rome Odunze under 3.5 receptions.

The Story

Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears face the Seattle Seahawks on Monday night in Week 8 of the 2026 NFL season, with Seattle listed as the defending champion and favoured at home in the matchup.

The preview from SI Betting highlighted three player props with associated DraftKings Sportsbook prices: Caleb Williams over 21.5 rushing yards (-112), Jaxon Smith-Njigba longest reception over 29.5 yards (-112), and Rome Odunze under 3.5 receptions (-170).

For the Williams prop, the preview said he has failed to clear 21.5 rushing yards in back-to-back games since returning from a hamstring injury, and it pointed to Seattle’s pass-rush pressure—describing the Seahawks as second in the NFL in pressure rate and noting they have recorded 17 sacks in seven games. It also referenced Williams’ rushing totals earlier in the season, citing 65 yards on 10 carries against Carolina and 42 yards on five carries against Minnesota, and added that Seattle has allowed 30 carries for 127 yards to opposing quarterbacks in 2026.

For Smith-Njigba’s longest reception bet, the preview cited a Bears secondary that has been susceptible to big plays through the air, noting they have allowed nine receptions of 40+ yards (two more than any other team) and 21 completions of 20+ yards. It said Smith-Njigba is expected to be targeted early and often and suggested wagering that he records at least one 30+ yard catch.

For Odunze’s receptions under, the preview said he has played a significant role for Chicago, catching 24 of his 38 targets for 381 yards while playing 84.9 percent of the team’s offensive snaps. It also said Odunze has only two games with more than three receptions and has been targeted seven or fewer times in six of seven appearances, and it pointed to Seattle’s defensive profile—describing the Seahawks as No. 2 in the NFL in EPA/Pass through seven weeks. The preview concluded that Odunze’s target usage is not enough, in its view, to back an elevated reception total against an elite Seattle defence.
