Bruno Mars began a five-night run at B.C. Place in Vancouver on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2026, backed by Anderson .Paak for multiple Silk Sonic moments.
The Story
Bruno Mars launched his The Romantic Tour in Vancouver on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2026, taking the stage at B.C. Place for the first of five concerts.
Early in the set, the show moved from vintage funk moments to multi-part harmonies as the stage transitioned through different segments timed in the live log. At 9:20 p.m., Mars paused to acknowledge the crowd before the “Angel Baby Cam” segment began, with camera-ready fans projected for everyone to groove with. By 9:30 p.m., the concert highlighted “angelic multi-part harmonies,” as backup singers were called out.
The performance continued with additional featured segments. At 9:33 p.m., Mars introduced the next stretch of the show by addressing the audience and bringing out a vintage red Cadillac convertible while dropping some Marvin Gaye. Later, at 9:40 p.m., the set moved into Something Serious, described in the log as fully Santana-esque with wah-wah guitar shredding and a percussion solo.
Silk Sonic elements took centre stage in the middle of the night. At 9:55 p.m., the log described a full-force Silk Sonic intro with Anderson .Paak behind the kit and Mars strapped to his guitar. The run of material included 777 at 9:55 p.m., followed by a dose of P-funk flair and a flying-saucer projection with laser beams and strobes.
As the show progressed into the later set, the log placed Leave the Door Open at 10:10 p.m., with Mars asking the crowd if they wanted to hear the song that started the “whole Silk Sonic mess.” At 10:15 p.m., the concert shifted again with a power-pop run through of Marry You “as Anderson .Paak leaves.” Confetti cannons followed at 10:18 p.m., though the log noted the view of the stage could be blocked by the confetti.
The final sequence included ballad time and late-set highlights. At 10:25 p.m., Mars sat behind the piano for a medley of tender ballads for a sing-along, including It Will Rain and culminating on Talkin’ To the Moon. At 10:35 p.m., the log said Versace on the Floor preceded a return for Locked Out of Heaven, described as putting the song in the context of eighties New Wave.
With the show nearing its end, the log recorded Just the Way You Are being dedicated to “all of you here” at 10:40 p.m. At 10:45 p.m., the night continued with a surprise, described as “Hard to turn down some Uptown Funk.” The first show wrapped at 10:47 p.m.
