A tribute concert for k.d. lang at Ottawa’s National Arts Centre on Oct. 2 will feature performers including Michael Bublé and Jann Arden.

The Story

k.d. lang will be celebrated at a tribute concert at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa on Oct. 2, 2026, with a lineup that includes Michael Bublé, Jann Arden and Allison Russell.

Lang said she has no idea what is in store for the event and that she wants to be surprised.

Titled “k.d. lang: has always been,” the concert also coincides with an exhibition of lang’s stagewear.

Performers expected to take part include some of lang’s collaborators, including Jane Siberry, whom lang inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame last year. Lang and Siberry previously sang together on Siberry’s track “Calling All Angels,” and lang covered “The Valley” and “Love is Everything” on her 2004 album “Hymns of the 49th Parallel.”

Ron Sexmith, whose work is also part of that 2004 album, is among the artists expected to perform, along with Jill Barber, Mariel Buckley, Wyatt C. Louis and William Prince.

The tribute concert highlights lang’s career spanning songs such as “Constant Craving” and “Miss Chatelaine” from her 1992 album “Ingenue,” as well as “Crying,” a duet she recorded with Roy Orbison in 1987.
