Rossi’s two goals came in a game in which the Canucks were defeated 9-7 by Edmonton. Vancouver enters the matchup with a Pacific Division record of 1-1, while Calgary is 0-1 in the division.
Last season, the Canucks finished 8-16-2 in Pacific Division play and 25-49-8 overall. They recorded a 21.8% power play success rate, scoring 51 goals on 234 power-play chances.
Defensively, Calgary last season went 34-39-9 overall and 14-9-3 in division games. The Flames scored 208 goals while allowing 256 for a -48 goal differential.
Both teams will also be managing injuries for the game. The Canucks are without Thatcher Demko (hip) and Filip Chytil (shoulder), while the Flames are without Jonathan Huberdeau (hip).
