Rays World Series fans get new “Taste of October” menu at Tropicana Field’s Budweiser Porch
Image accompanying the official MLB announcement.Tampa Bay Rays fans looking to make this World Series week at Tropicana Field a little more elaborate will have a new “Taste of October” stand to visit on the Budweiser Porch in Center Field, with the menu designed for the Rays’ best-of-seven matchup against the Milwaukee Brewers. The food options range from a steak-based signature dish to seafood-heavy portions and gelato desserts, with prices and upgrade paths detailed by the team through Major League Baseball’s announcement.
At the center of the stand is the “Clubhouse Tomahawk,” an 18-oz. Wagyu bone-in ribeye steak prepared with a pepper crust and herb butter. The steak can be ordered sliced or on the bone, and it is served with truffle parmesan fries, saffron aioli, and spicy remoulade, according to the MLB release.
A second option, “Tomahawk and Toast,” builds on the same steak-and-sides package while adding a bottle of Veuve Clicquot and four Postseason champagne flutes. The announcement also notes that fans can further upgrade with Dom Pérignon for an additional price, and that standalone champagnes or wines by the glass or bottle are available at the stand.
The Rays’ “Tomahawk” concept is tied to the franchise’s own postseason moments. MLB reported that the menu item was inspired by designated hitter Yandy Díaz, who enjoyed a Tomahawk during the Rays’ pennant-clinching celebration in the clubhouse.
For fans who prefer seafood, the “Taste of October” stand offers “Colossal Stone Crab Claws,” presented as more than one pound of claws paired with Bloody Mary cocktail sauce, Florida citrus mustard, and a lemon slice. The MLB announcement lists the stone crab claws option at $99.
The release also describes a bundled “Tampa Bay Surf & Turf” selection that combines colossal stone crab claws with the clubhouse tomahawk steak. That package is priced at $209 while supplies last, according to the information provided.
Dessert options are built around gelato served in a souvenir helmet, with Homespun Gelato offering two gelato flavors: salted caramel or Tahitian vanilla bean. Fans can choose a topping and a cookie as part of the dessert order.
For bigger dessert plans, the stand also features the “Sweet Field of Dreams” option, which the announcement says includes both the salted caramel and Tahitian vanilla bean gelato flavors, along with a set of cookies—double chocolate cookie, triple chocolate chip cookie, and a red velvet cookie. That heavier dessert package comes with Kahlúa chocolate ganache and toasted pistachio for dipping, per MLB’s details.
With the new “Taste of October” menu available on-site during World Series week at Tropicana Field, the Rays are effectively extending their postseason experience from game time into the ballpark’s Center Field Budweiser Porch food offerings—placing the steak, stone crab, and gelato selections directly within reach for fans waiting to see who takes the series against the Brewers. With prices, serving formats, and the champagne upgrade pathways all published in advance, the menu’s structure also gives fans a straightforward way to plan their purchases while supplies and inventory remain available at the stand.
