The second season premieres today on NFL YouTube, with an expected season finale during Super Bowl LXI week in Los Angeles. The league says Episode One of the 21-episode series features Las Vegas Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty and content creator Kani Rose.
The announcement also credits Season One with establishing the franchise for NFL R2EZ. According to the NFL, Season One generated 178 million total views on NFL YouTube and averaged 8.4 million views per episode across 368 pieces of content. The league further notes that the debut season earned two Telly Awards, including Gold for Series–Sports and Silver for Campaign–Sports, along with the Digiday Content Marketing Award for Best Use of Native Advertising/Sponsored Content.
For Season Two, the NFL says the series expands its roster with players Daniel Jones, Jahmyr Gibbs, and Drake London joining creators CashNasty, WILDCAT, Agent00, and LuluLuvely, with additional NFL players and creators revealed during the season. The league also says Verizon Shine, Verizon’s customer loyalty program, will offer customers the chance to step into the action and compete live against NFL players and gaming creators across multiple episodes.
New elements for Season Two include an all-new lineup of 20 NFL players and 20 gaming creators, a combined social reach of 115 million followers, and the NFL Celly Studio, described by the league as inspired by the NFL’s “The Season is Your Stage” Kickoff campaign. The NFL says the series highlights community changemakers tied to NFL initiatives including NFL FLAG, Crucial Catch, and Salute to Service.
The league states the season concludes with “NFL Race to the End Zone LIVE,” a multi-player invitational tournament that will be livestreamed on NFL YouTube during Super Bowl LXI week in Los Angeles, featuring gaming and physical football-inspired activities. The NFL says creators who earn their spot in the Super Bowl finale will compete alongside NFL players, and the winner will be crowned the Season Two Champion.
