Straight Outta Brooklyn is returning to 918 Kingsway on Sept. 25 with a new 900-square-foot storefront and opening-day slice and pie specials.

Straight Outta Brooklyn is set to reopen on Kingsway on Friday, Sept. 25, after closing when its building went through redevelopment.
The Kingsway restaurant, at 918 Kingsway, will be the team’s sixth location. Owner and operator Patrick Kimball said the shop is returning to serve the community after “nine great years” of pizza in the neighbourhood, adding that it had been “a year away” from the location.
Kitchen Manager Dan McDonald will lead the kitchen at the new site, with the cooking area positioned near the front window so customers can watch pizzas being prepared.
The new space is 900 square feet and will seat 16 people. The design is described as leaning into the restaurant’s Brooklyn character, including a red brick feature wall and a steel, light-up “Brooklyn” sign.
The menu will include both single quarter-pie slices and whole pies, plus tiramisu, dips, and a selection of drinks.
For opening day, the restaurant will offer $5 quarter pie slices from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and whole Original Margherita and Classic Pepperoni pies for $20 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. The promotion is available only on Friday, Sept. 25.
