Edumentors ranked Cluj-Napoca, Romania number one among 60 European cities for graduates’ job and living opportunities.

An online tutoring platform has ranked Cluj-Napoca, Romania as the best European city for graduates to live and work.
Edumentors, based in London, examined 60 cities across the EU and the UK and evaluated factors including job opportunity satisfaction, average monthly net salaries, one-bedroom city-centre rent, cost of living, youth unemployment for people aged 15 to 29, and job vacancy rates.
Cluj-Napoca scored 72.60 for job opportunity satisfaction and has been described as a major tech hub nicknamed the “Silicon Valley of Eastern Europe.” Nearly three in four residents in the city said they are satisfied with local job opportunities.
The platform reported an average monthly net salary in Cluj-Napoca of €1,156.55 (roughly C$1,850), while a one-bedroom apartment in the city centre costs around €589.27 (C$940). The report’s cost-of-living index for Cluj-Napoca was 44.60, indicating lower everyday expenses than higher-cost cities in the comparison.
Vilnius, Lithuania finished second in the ranking. Edumentors said 64 per cent of residents reported plenty of good career opportunities. It reported average monthly net salaries in Vilnius at €1,686.90 (about $2,700) with city-centre one-bedroom rents around €765.79 (C$1,225).
Germany also placed four cities in the top 10, including Hamburg, Munich, Leipzig and Essen.
