Seahawks’ Quenton Nelson ruled out for Week 9 with knee issue

Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald says Quenton Nelson will miss the Week 9 game against the Arizona Cardinals due to a knee issue.

The Story

The Seattle Seahawks will be without offensive guard Quenton Nelson for their Week 9 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals, after he was ruled out due to a knee injury, according to reporting from Gregg Bell of 93.3 KJR radio.

Bell said the ruling was made by Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald, who indicated Nelson is dealing with a knee issue and that he is expected to be week to week going forward.

Bell also reported that Macdonald told reporters on Friday that Nelson will miss the Cardinals game, noting the guard is having a minor procedure on his knee and that it is not being placed on injured reserve.

Macdonald further said Nelson had something he was dealing with when he arrived in Seattle, after being acquired in a trade from the Indianapolis Colts.
