Home By Midnight is holding a dance party on Oct. 9, running from 8 to 11:45 p.m. at the Anza Club in Vancouver.
The Story
Home By Midnight, an ongoing Metro Vancouver dance party series billed as a more reasonable alternative to late-night nightlife, is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 9 at the Anza Club, 3 West 8th Ave.
The event runs from 8 to 11:45 p.m., with tickets priced at $25.
DJ Why So Serious will headline each gathering and is set to spin a mix that the series describes as including pop, hip-hop, RnB, Afrobeats, Latin and reggaeton.
The series was started by five women who say their lives changed as they got older, had kids and pursued careers, leading them to look for dance parties that suited people who couldn’t do “Doors at 10.”
According to the series’ description, the first Home By Midnight event took place in 2018 and has since expanded across the region, including events for parents, students and shift workers.
A separate Home By Midnight date is also listed for Oct. 18 in Coquitlam.
