Seahawks’ late drive turns forced fumble into touchdown, pulling within three points

Seattle scored a touchdown on a brief fourth-quarter drive after DeMarcus Lawrence’s forced fumble and recovery set up a short field.

The Story

A key moment in Seattle’s Monday night game came from DeMarcus Lawrence’s forced fumble and recovery in the fourth quarter, which gave the Seahawks the ball at the Chicago 25-yard line.

The turnover followed a third-and-long play when Bears quarterback Caleb Williams connected with tight end Colston Loveland, but Lawrence chased him down, knocked the ball out, and recovered it for Seattle.

With the offence starting on short field position, Seattle drove 25 yards on three plays over 1:20, reducing the deficit to three points.

Jadarian Price had two runs during the drive, gaining nine yards and then four yards.

Darnold then found Kupp for a seven-yard touchdown.

After scoring, Seattle opted for two points and was successful when Tory Horton caught a pass from Darnold in the back corner of the end zone.
