Canucks announce first Fan Fest at Rogers Arena with player arrivals, games and preseason hockey Sept. 24-26

Vancouver’s first-ever Fan Fest at Rogers Arena runs Sept. 24–26, pairing interactive events and player access with the Canucks’ early preseason slate.

The Story

The Vancouver Canucks have announced details for their first-ever Fan Fest, presented by Rogers, a three-day gathering at Rogers Arena scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 24 through Saturday, Sept. 26.

The event begins Thursday, Sept. 24, with a player-arrival showcase on the Blue Carpet from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m., offering fans an opportunity to take photos, and the chance to receive autographs from players as they arrive.

Later that same day, the Fan Fest will align with the team’s first home preseason game, when the Canucks host the Edmonton Oilers at 6:00 p.m. The Canucks have also tied that matchup to the 40th anniversary of the Canucks For Kids Fund, indicating the weekend’s activities will include both community and on-ice programming.

On Friday, Sept. 25, the team is planning an Open Practice session at 1:30 p.m., giving supporters a closer look at players in action earlier than a standard game-day setting. The organization has also listed an annual “Meet the Team” event the same day, available exclusively to full season ticket members.

Still on Friday, Fan Fest programming includes a Canucks For Kids Fund Charity Hockey Game at Rogers Arena, with doors opening at 6:00 p.m. Ticket information for the charity event lists $5 for adults, with admission free for children under 12, and proceeds directed to the Canucks For Kids Fund.

The charity game’s featured group includes Canucks legends such as Henrik Sedin, Kirk McLean, Mason Raymond, Geoff Courtnall, and Cliff Ronning, along with Canadian women’s hockey Olympic medalist Jenn Gardiner among others listed for the event. Organizers have also noted a $5 menu that includes beer, hot dogs, popcorn and pizza.

On Saturday, Sept. 26, Fan Fest shifts toward a broader community focus with a Career Networking Event scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., featuring a networking panel for professionals across various industries. The Canucks have stated that a ticket to that event also includes admission to the preseason game later in the day against the Seattle Kraken.

Saturday’s downtown-season kickoff also includes “Game On” at the newly named RBC Landing (formerly North Plaza), beginning at 12:00 p.m., with interactive games and activities, street hockey on Pat Quinn Way, a Molson Hockey House and live entertainment scheduled throughout the afternoon.

Before the Kraken game, fans get another opportunity to interact with players via a second Blue Carpet window on Saturday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., designed as a backup for supporters who may have missed Thursday’s arrivals.

The weekend closes with the Canucks hosting the Seattle Kraken at 4:00 p.m. as part of preseason action, while the organization says the day will commemorate the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
