Vancouver police say they recovered more than $10,000 in jewelry and luxury items that were stolen during a real estate open house over the weekend.

The Story

Vancouver police say they recovered more than $10,000 in jewelry and luxury items stolen during a real estate open house in Vancouver over the weekend.

In a news release, the department says officers stopped a rental vehicle on Saturday night after noticing it leaving a home that is known to police.

Police say officers found evidence linked to an unreported theft of jewelry and luxury items that occurred during the open house earlier that day, and evidence believed to be connected to other fraud and break-and-enter investigations in the area.

Police say two men were arrested and released pending further investigation, and that charges have not been approved.

Vancouver police Sgt. Adam Donaldson said investigators are examining the items seized in the vehicle search to determine whether there are more victims who have not yet been identified.
