The Story
The Seattle Seahawks signed quarterback Adrian Martinez to their practice squad after ruling out Sam Darnold for Sunday’s game against Arizona due to a quad injury.
Drew Lock is expected to start, but the team brought in additional quarterback depth alongside Lock and Jalen Milroe because of Lock’s elbow injury and recent inactivity.
Martinez previously played for the 49ers and has recorded one NFL regular-season snap.
He also earned UFL MVP honours and won a championship with the Birmingham Stallions in 2024.
The Seahawks also added linebacker Jamie Sheriff to their practice squad.
