The Story
The Independent Investigations Office of British Columbia (IIO) says it has been called in to investigate a police-involved shooting in Burnaby on Sunday morning.
The IIO said Burnaby RCMP were called around 10:15 a.m. to a report of a disturbance at a home on Kingsway.
The IIO reported that when officers arrived, a man was armed with an edged weapon as he approached them. One officer fired their gun and hit the man.
