Wildlight Kitchen + Bar in Vancouver’s West Point Grey has announced it will close on Saturday, Nov. 28, saying ownership made an “incredibly difficult decision” to shut down the restaurant.
The restaurant’s announcement said the team is “incredibly grateful” to everyone who supported it, adding that the staff’s “dedication, passion, hard work, and commitment to serving our guests have been at the heart of Wildlight since we opened our doors.”
Wildlight is part of the Pattison Food Group, and the announcement described the restaurant as the group’s first restaurant venture. The Pattison Food Group’s other brands include Save-On-Foods, Buy-Low Foods, Quality Foods and Everything Wine.
Wildlight opened in February 2023 and has been featuring West Coast culture and cuisine. The restaurant says its menu has included items such as a pescatarian charcuterie board, a Wagyu burger and seared Hokkaido scallops with truffle risotto, alongside an all-day menu.
In its announcement, Wildlight said it plans to spend the “next couple of months” with “one final menu,” and it invited guests to “come say hello, come celebrate with us, come back one more time,” with “more details soon on the final menu; reservations are open.”
Wildlight’s regular programming has included a daily happy hour and events such as a Thursday Cocktail Club, and the restaurant has described itself as a three-time Michelin-recommended venue.
