What’s on in Metro Vancouver and beyond Oct. 2–4: VIFF, & Juliet, Oktoberfest and more

A range of events runs across Vancouver and the region from Oct. 2 to Oct. 4, including VIFF screenings, Broadway Across Canada’s & Juliet and Oktoberfest celebrations.

The Story

The Vancouver International Film Festival (VIFF) continues from Oct. 1 to Oct. 11, showcasing about 160 features from around the world at various times and locations.

From Oct. 2 to Oct. 3, Harvest Haus brings a German beer-festival theme to the PNE Forum, 2901 Hastings St. E., with hours listed as 6 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. each day; the event includes pretzels, market items, and more than 25 European and craft beers, wines and spirits.

Broadway Across Canada’s & Juliet runs now until Oct. 4 at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre (630 Hamilton St., Vancouver), with showtimes listed as various times.

For families and fans of seasonal crafts, the All Hallows’ Eve Craft Market takes place on Oct. 3 and Oct. 4, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Sapperton Pensioners Hall (318 Keary St., New Westminster). The market lists admission at $5, with children 12 and under free and ages 65 and up free on Sunday.

Oktoberfest continues through Oct. 4 at Parallel 49 Brewing (1950 Triumph St., Vancouver), running daily with live music from Thursday to Sunday. Parallel 49 lists its hours as 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. from Sunday to Thursday, and 11 a.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday.

The Metro Vancouver Croissant Crawl returns for a fifth year, running now until Oct. 4, featuring 37 vendors offering limited-edition croissants at participating bakeries and cafes across the region; the event also lists drink pairings at select vendors.

Harvest Days at VanDusen Botanical Garden includes dates that overlap the weekend: Oct. 3 and Oct. 4, as well as additional dates later in October, with hours listed as 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The event includes activities such as a learning garden and maze, family-friendly games and crafts, and food trucks.

On Oct. 4, the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra’s VSO Kids Concert Series presents Lights, Camera, Orchestra! at The Orpheum (601 Smithe St., Vancouver), with a listed start time of 2 p.m.

Also on Oct. 4, PumpkinFest returns to West Vancouver, running from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the West Vancouver Community Centre (2121 Marine Dr., West Vancouver), with a pumpkin patch, pony rides, a petting farm and live music listed as part of the event.
