The Smashing Pumpkins will perform at Rogers Arena on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2026, as part of The Rats in a Cage tour.
The Story
The Smashing Pumpkins will bring The Rats in a Cage tour to Vancouver this Thursday, Nov. 5, 2026, with a show at Rogers Arena.
The tour centres on Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, the iconic double album that turned 30 last year. The band includes Billy Corgan, James Iha and Jimmy Chamberlin on the road, and the tour is described as featuring “two unique sets celebrating Mellon Collie at 30.” To fit the material into one night, the band is performing two sets rather than a single lineup.
Along with songs from Mellon Collie, the show is expected to include the band’s “unruly hits and dark treasures,” according to posts about the tour. The evidence also points to well-known singles from the album, including “Bullet with Butterfly Wings,” “1979” and “Tonight, Tonight,” with “1979” described as the band’s biggest hit in Canada.
No opening act has been announced for the Rogers Arena date.
Tickets are still listed as available, with the cheapest option shown on Ticketmaster at $131.70 plus fees; the listing notes that those seats have a “limited view,” described as being at the extreme right and left of the stage.
For getting to the venue, TransLink has not issued any alerts for Thursday, Nov. 5 on the SkyTrain or the SeaBus. For travellers heading back to Vancouver Island late, Hullo lists a ferry departing at 11:59 p.m. from the terminal near Canada Place.
Rogers Arena restrictions include limits on bags: all bags need to be under 35.5 centimetres by 35.5 cm by 15.2 cm. The venue is also described as a smoke-free zone, covering both cigarettes and cannabis.
Rogers Arena is cashless. Its website states: “As a cashless venue, we accept all major digital forms of payment including Debit Cards, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Google Pay and Apple Pay.”
If concert-goers run into issues during the show, Rogers Arena provides a fan service number to text: 604-765-3267 (FANS). The guidance is to text the issue and the viewer’s location, including their section, row and seat number.
