Lululemon appoints Ben Hallam as chief brand officer and Emily Sunderland as chief strategy officer

Lululemon appointed Ben Hallam as chief brand officer and Emily Sunderland as incoming chief strategy officer, with Hallam joining Monday and Sunderland starting Nov. 23.

The Story

Lululemon Athletica Inc. chief executive Heidi O’Neill has appointed two new leaders to its C-suite: Ben Hallam as chief brand officer and Emily Sunderland as its incoming chief strategy officer.

Hallam is described as Vancouver-based and most recently served as senior vice-president of marketing at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts; he is joining Lululemon on Monday.

Sunderland previously worked with Boston Consulting Group and is scheduled to start at Lululemon on Nov. 23.

O’Neill took on the top job in September, about two months before the latest appointments, with the company saying the changes are part of an effort to revamp the business as competition rises and its stock has been sagging.

Roughly one month into O’Neill’s role, Lululemon says she named a new president and chief product officer as well as a new chief operating offer.

The company also says its search for a chief technology and communications officers is continuing.
