Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald said Monday that RB Jadarian Price is eligible to return and practicing, while Zach Charbonnet will practice again as Seattle looks ahead to its game against the Bears.
The Story
Seattle’s injury picture heading into the week was shaped by updates from Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald’s Monday press conference, a day after the team’s Week 7 win over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, Oct. 25.
Macdonald said rookie running back Jadarian Price, who has spent the past four games on injured reserve with a chest injury, is eligible to return this week and will practice. When asked how quickly Price could move from practice to game action, Macdonald said, “The situation's a little different, obviously the length of the injuries. Could they both play? Yes. Could neither play? Yes. Could either one play? Yes.”
Fellow running back Zach Charbonnet, who continues to work his way back from a torn ACL, will again practice fully this week. Macdonald noted there is a chance Charbonnet could make his 2026 debut in next Monday’s game against the Bears.
Regarding injuries that came out of Sunday’s 20-3 victory over the Chiefs, Macdonald said left tackle Charles Cross has an ankle injury and the team will determine how long it will last. “Charles has an ankle. We'll see how long it's going to be,” he said.
Macdonald also said he has not yet discussed injured reserve as a possibility for Cross. When asked about reports that Cross could miss some time, he added, “I saw that report. That didn't come from me or our trainer.” He added, “It's Monday, he's got an ankle, and we're going to take it day by day from there.”
On receiver Rashid Shaheed, Macdonald said earlier in the day on his weekly radio show that early reports after Shaheed left the game with a knee injury were positive, and that remained the case Monday afternoon. “No update on Rashid from this morning,” Macdonald said. “Again, early returns are positive, how long that means, I'm not sure.”
For running back Velus Jones Jr., Macdonald said the team is still evaluating a hamstring injury. “We're not sure the severity. So we'll see with Velus.”
