NDP Leader David Eby, Conservative interim leader Lorne Doerkson and Green Party Leader Emily Lowan are scheduled to speak at an event hosted by the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade this afternoon.
The Story
British Columbia’s three major party leaders are making a campaign stop in Vancouver with less than two weeks remaining before the province’s Oct. 24 election.
The NDP’s David Eby, Conservative interim leader Lorne Doerkson and Green Party leader Emily Lowan are slated to speak at an afternoon event hosted by the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade.
The event is not billed as a leaders’ debate; each leader will address attendees, followed by a question-and-answer session with board president Bridgitte Anderson.
The Board of Trade says the format is intended to give people a chance to hear directly from the leaders as they present their vision for the province and discuss their priorities for B.C.’s future.
A televised leaders’ debate is set for Wednesday ahead of election day on Oct. 24.
