Starting Nov. 1 at 2:00 a.m. Pacific Time, nine land ports of entry in B.C. will change their operating hours to maintain alignment with neighbouring U.S. ports.

British Columbia will keep permanent, year-round daylight saving time, and that decision is prompting operating-hour changes at land ports of entry connecting B.C. to the United States.
The Canada Border Services Agency said in a press release that, on Nov. 1 at 2:00 a.m. (Pacific Time), nine land ports of entry in B.C. will adopt new hours “to maintain alignment with hours at the neighbouring U.S. ports of entry.”
CBSA said the timing shift runs from Nov. 1 until March 14, 2027, while the U.S. continues to change its clocks seasonally.
CBSA said the adjustments are intended to support better coordination between Canada and the U.S., including when a traveller is inadmissible and directed to return immediately to the country they came from, and to provide greater clarity for travellers about when ports of entry are operating.
The new operating hours, reflected in Pacific Time, are as follows: Aldergrove (travellers and commercial: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m., 7 days a week); Carson (travellers: 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., 7 days a week; commercial: 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday to Friday except holidays); Cascade (travellers: 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., 7 days a week; commercial: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday except holidays); Chopaka (travellers: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., 7 days a week; commercial: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday except holidays); Fraser (travellers and commercial: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m., 7 days a week); Midway (travellers: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., 7 days a week; commercial: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday except holidays); Nelway (travellers: 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., 7 days a week; commercial: 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday to Friday except holidays); Pleasant Camp (travellers and commercial: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m., 7 days a week); and Waneta (travellers: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., 7 days a week; commercial: 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday to Friday except holidays).
