Two counts of dangerous driving causing death approved against Abbotsford man in 2024 Burnaby crash

Burnaby RCMP says British Columbia’s prosecution service has approved two charges of dangerous driving causing death in the Dec. 21, 2024 Boundary Road crash that killed two people.

The Story

Burnaby RCMP announced Thursday that, following an investigation that lasted almost two years, charges have been approved and laid in connection with a fatal crash in the city.

The British Columbia Prosecution Service approved two counts of dangerous driving causing death against 27-year-old Adam Jones-Veneziano of Abbotsford on Sept. 21.

RCMP said that on Dec. 21, 2024, Jones-Veneziano was travelling northbound on Boundary Road when he allegedly t-boned a car travelling westbound on Forest Street.

A 67-year-old woman and a 71-year-old man died in the collision.

RCMP said the charges against Jones-Veneziano have not been tested in court.
