Air Canada says its flight AC785 from Toronto was struck by another aircraft on the tarmac at Los Angeles International Airport on Tuesday.

According to an Air Canada spokesperson, the incident occurred after the flight landed safely, when the left wing of an Airbus A350-900 operated by Delta Airlines made contact with the tail of the Air Canada aircraft at approximately 10:30 a.m. local time.

The spokesperson said there were no reported injuries to any passengers or crew.

Air Canada said the aircraft will be taken out of service for inspection and repairs.

Delta Airlines confirmed the incident on Tuesday afternoon. A Delta spokesperson said, “Nothing is more important than the safety of our customers and people, and we apologize to our customers for the experience and delay in their travels.”

The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration said it is investigating the incident.
