Surrey Police say a Honda Civic and a semi-truck crash at 176 Street and 32 Avenue on Sept. 18 left the Civic driver with critical injuries.

Surrey Police Service is asking for witnesses and dash-camera footage after a serious collision involving a Honda Civic and a semi-truck and trailer.
Officers responded to the crash at the intersection of 176 Street and 32 Avenue shortly after 8 p.m. on Sept. 18, according to the police update.
Police said they provided emergency medical treatment to the driver and the lone occupant of the Honda Civic until paramedics arrived.
The driver of the Honda Civic was transported to hospital with critical injuries, the police said.
Surrey Police also stated that the driver of the semi-truck and trailer appeared uninjured at the scene.
While the investigation is still in its early stages, police said alcohol is not believed to have been a factor in the crash.
Police are also urging anyone who witnessed the collision, or anyone with information—particularly dashcam video—to contact Surrey Police Service.
For area residents, the request highlights the likelihood that video evidence could be important given the intersection location and the severity of injuries reported, as investigators work to determine what led to the collision.
