The Chicago Bears proved difficult to handle on the road at Lumen Field on Monday, Nov. 2, 2026, defeating the Seattle Seahawks 34-17 to improve to 6-2 on the season.

Led by head coach Ben Johnson and quarterback Caleb Williams, Chicago’s offence produced 363 total yards, including 237 passing yards. Williams threw for 200-plus yards against Seattle’s defence, becoming the first quarterback to eclipse 200 passing yards versus the Seahawks.

Williams’ passing included a 23-yard touchdown to Luther Burden III, his only touchdown reception of the game, and a 24-yard completion to Rome Odunze. Odunze finished with a team-high 87 yards on four catches.

The Bears also got three rushing touchdowns from D’Andre Swift, as Chicago’s offensive line helped enable the ground game to produce at key moments.

Defensively, Chicago entered the matchup ninth in yards allowed and points allowed, and Jeffery Simmons—who made his Bears debut after being traded—contributed throughout the game. Simmons finished tied for the team lead in combined tackles with six, and he recorded a sack and two tackles for loss.

Seattle’s offence still showed flashes, including a performance from Jaxon Smith-Njigba that included a touchdown just before halftime. The Seahawks finished with 81 rushing yards.

With the score at 27-17 and six minutes remaining, James Lynch forced an interception that set up Swift’s third touchdown, sealing the Bears’ control of the game.
