Vancouver Goldeneyes unveil new jerseys ahead of PWHL season

The Vancouver Goldeneyes unveiled new jerseys for the upcoming PWHL season, featuring a Pacific Northwest-inspired design modelled by players including Ashton Bell and Jenn Gardiner.

The Story

The Vancouver Goldeneyes have unveiled their new jersey design for the upcoming winter season, describing it as a Pacific Northwest-inspired look meant to be symbolic to the team and the broader community.

Captain Ashton Bell and forward Jenn Gardiner modelled the jerseys alongside other Goldeneyes players as part of the reveal. Bell said, “I’m obsessed with them and can’t wait to rep them here soon,” adding, “They added so many cool touches to make it special to Vancouver and to our team.”

The new design features the Goldeneyes logo encircled by wings, with the outer corner of the eye pointing up and to the left, in the direction of the northwest, which the team says represents unity beyond the players.

Gardiner said she appreciates the strong visibility the team receives in its home building, saying, “I look around the building right now and it’s all over pillars, centre ice, our locker room is decked out, and this is something that you don’t see often in women’s sports, and especially in hockey.” She added that the Goldeneyes have “our own rink in the PWHL,” calling it “so special.”

Season ticket holders and longtime hockey fans also expressed enthusiasm about the new look, including excitement about seeing the jerseys worn during the season.

The Goldeneyes are scheduled to wear the new jerseys at their official home opener on Dec. 5 at the Pacific Coliseum.
