Carnival Cruise Lines says dynamic pricing will apply to some onboard packages, beverage packages and Wi-Fi plans starting December 1, 2026.
The Story
Carnival Cruise Lines announced it will begin using a dynamic pricing model for some onboard packages starting December 1, 2026.
In a news release, the company said the pricing strategy would also apply to beverage packages and Wi-Fi plans.
Carnival said prices will vary based on sailing length, itinerary and season, with guests able to choose to bundle benefits through a FunPack or purchase individual packages.
The cruise line’s move has drawn criticism in the past; New Democratic Party leader Avi Lewis called dynamic pricing “downright creepy” in April, and other opposition has described it as exploitative and unfair.
The cruise line’s announcement said the goal of the approach is to adapt to market conditions, with higher demand linked to higher prices.
