The arch of the Pattullo Bridge was dismantled over the weekend of Oct. 9 to 11, and officials say it has now been taken down.
The arch was lowered to a barge on the Fraser River before being dismantled for recycling.
Officials said the removal process is expected to be slow, taking about 48 to 60 hours to complete.
During the removal, the Fraser River navigation channel was closed for the duration of the work.
Officials also said there is no impact to travel on the Stal̕əw̓asəm Bridge.
