Bruno Mars returns to Vancouver for five BC Place shows from Oct. 14–21 with Raye and DJ Pee .Wee

Bruno Mars will play five dates at BC Place in Vancouver from Oct. 14 to Oct. 21, with Raye and Anderson .Paak as DJ Pee .Wee as opening acts.

The Story

Bruno Mars is returning to Vancouver for a five-show run at BC Place over eight days, with concerts scheduled for Oct. 14, 16, 17, 20 and 21.

The first show was announced for Oct. 14, followed by the next three dates, and the Oct. 21 performance was added later.

Mars’s upcoming appearance marks his first time in Vancouver in nearly a decade; his last visit included a pair of shows at Rogers Arena in 2017.

Opening for all five shows is British R&B singer Raye, and frequent Mars collaborator Anderson .Paak will perform in his alter ego, DJ Pee .Wee.

A Bruno Mars and Hello Kitty pop-up store has been planned for Vancouver, but the location has not been announced.

Tickets are available for all dates, though resale availability varies by show: as of publication, BC Place was mostly sold out for the first three concerts, while the final show has a significant number of tickets still listed in the lower bowl and on the floor.

Cheapest lower-bowl resale tickets were described as starting at $252 before fees, with front-row resale tickets running about $2,000 each.

For travel planning, TransLink did not list any significant alerts for SkyTrain or SeaBus service during the concerts, as of the time the information was published.

Hullo Ferries has late-night sailings planned for Oct. 16, 17 and 20, corresponding to the middle three shows, and tickets are still available for the three trips.

BC Place operates a firm bag policy: bags larger than 6.5 inches by 8.5 inches are not permitted unless they are transparent, and clear bags are allowed up to one foot by one foot by six inches.

The venue said staff will be outside to direct people to bag checks if needed; bag checks cost $10 and must be completed before entering the stadium, with exceptions possible for medically necessary bags.

Prohibited items listed include large cameras with detachable lenses, posters and signs, drones, outside food, selfie sticks, and large bottles (even when empty).

BC Place is also a cashless venue, so visitors were advised to bring another way to pay.

The concerts run at BC Place, 777 Pacific Blvd., with a ticket price range described as starting at $250.
