An Abbotsford Police Department investigation says a farm tractor driver was airlifted after a Monday night collision with a pickup truck.
The Story
An Abbotsford Police Department (AbbyPD) investigation says the driver of a farm tractor sustained serious, life-threatening injuries after colliding with a pickup truck Monday night.
Police say the crash happened just after 7 p.m. on Vye Road east of Cole Road.
In a statement, AbbyPD said preliminary evidence indicates both vehicles were travelling westbound on Vye Road when the pickup truck collided with the rear of the tractor.
Police said the impact caused the tractor to leave the roadway and roll over.
The tractor driver was airlifted to hospital for treatment, while the driver of the pickup truck was not seriously injured and is cooperating with investigators.
AbbyPD said alcohol is not considered to have been a factor, and the circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have video footage, to call them.
