Canada’s business calendar this week includes earnings reports, a Bank of Canada update, and economic releases from Statistics Canada.

Barrick Mining Corp. is scheduled to report earnings on Monday, followed by Finning International Inc. and Hydro One Ltd. on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, CGI Inc., Cargojet Inc., CAE Inc. and Power Corp. of Canada are set to release results, with Brookfield Corp. and Canadian Tire Corp. Ltd. scheduled for Thursday and Onex Corp. for Friday.
The Bank of Canada will release Tuesday its summary of deliberations for its interest rate decision from last month, when it increased its key interest rate by a quarter of a percentage point to 2.5 per cent.
The Economic Club of Canada will hold a discussion Tuesday focused on how to turn defence spending into lasting economic value, with speakers expected to include MDA Space CEO Mike Greenley, Saab Canada president Cara Salci, Downsview Aerospace Innovation & Research executive director Phil Arthurs, and IMT Group chief financial officer Patricia Widmeyer.
Federal cabinet ministers are also scheduled to travel across the country this week to pitch the Liberal’s budget to Canadians, with federal Finance Minister François‑Philippe Champagne set to deliver a speech at the Empire Club of Canada in Toronto on Friday.
Statistics Canada will release two economic reports for September on Friday: its monthly survey of manufacturing and its report on wholesale trade for the month.
