New Democrat Leader David Eby, interim B.C. Conservative Leader Lorne Doerkson and Green Leader Emily Lowan will face off Wednesday night in the only live, televised leaders’ debate ahead of the provincial election.
The Story
The leaders of three provincial parties in British Columbia are set to square off Wednesday night in the only live, televised debate ahead of next weekend’s election.
New Democrat Leader David Eby, interim B.C. Conservative Leader Lorne Doerkson and Green Party Leader Emily Lowan will participate in the televised event, which is scheduled for 10 days before British Columbians go to the polls.
Organizers say the debate will be hosted by the B.C. Broadcast Consortium and moderated by Shachi Kurl, president of the Angus Reid Institute.
The event will be livestreamed from 6:15 p.m. to 8 p.m.
OneBC’s Dallas Brodie and CentreBC’s Elenore Sturko are not taking part, as their parties did not have official status in the B.C. legislature at dissolution.
