Seattle Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald said Quenton Nelson will not be moved off left guard when he makes his team debut Monday night against the Chicago Bears.
The Story
Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald said at a Thursday press conference that the club will keep Quenton Nelson at left guard when he takes the field for the first time with Seattle.
Macdonald confirmed that Nelson will remain at left guard, where he played throughout his time with the Colts.
The Seahawks’ current starter at left guard, Grey Zabel, is set to move to the right side, while Anthony Bradford is expected to shift into a reserve role.
Macdonald also said the Seahawks plan to have Nelson take his first game snaps with the team against the Bears on Monday night.
In that matchup, Nelson could face a familiar opponent: the Bears acquired defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons on Thursday, and the two players previously met multiple times while playing in the AFC South, including during the Titans’ upset win over the Colts a couple of weeks ago.
