Cascadia Development and Fiera Real Estate have partnered through the Canadian Built Opportunities Fund on a purpose-built 66-unit rental community at 2525 Lonsdale Avenue in North Vancouver.

The Story

Cascadia Development (Cascadia) says it has entered into a partnership with Fiera Real Estate through the Canadian Built Opportunities Fund (CBOF) for a purpose-built rental apartment community at 2525 Lonsdale Avenue in the City of North Vancouver.

The project is planned as a human-scaled, community-focused mid-rise and will include 66 purpose-built rental apartments, with a mix of market-rate and affordable units.

Cascadia says construction is set to launch in 2027, with completion targeted for 2029.

The company says the site’s central location will place residents within walking distance of transit routes, retail options, employment in central Lonsdale, schools and parks, and that it is directly across the street from the new 330,000-square-foot Harry Jarome Recreation Centre.

Farzad Mazarei, Founder & CEO of Cascadia Development, said in a statement, “At Cascadia, we believe thoughtful development begins with listening — to the neighbourhood, to the site, and to the long-term needs of the community.” He added that “2525 Lonsdale is an opportunity to deliver purpose-built rental housing that is grounded in quality, permanence, and respect for the evolving character of the Lonsdale corridor,” calling the partnership with Fiera Real Estate “a strong endorsement” of that vision and “the enduring strength of North Vancouver.”

Cascadia says the build is expected to create local employment by tapping Canadian consultants, contractors and union trades throughout the construction period.
