Surrey Police Service says a landlord has been charged after an investigation into an alleged break-and-enter involving a tenant’s suite in Surrey.
The Story
Surrey Police Service is asking for former tenants of a Surrey landlord to come forward after Balwinder Singh Bhandher was charged with break-and-enter, following an investigation that began in January.
Police say the tenant alleged that Bhandher entered their suite without permission and inappropriately touched the tenant’s clothing. A warrant was issued for his arrest on Oct. 1, and he was arrested on Oct. 14.
Bhandher has been released with several conditions, and police say the investigation is ongoing and additional criminal charges could be brought.
Surrey Police say Bhandher had a basement suite for rent in a residence in the 13,800 block of 66 Avenue in Surrey, and he may have been a landlord at a previous residence as well.
Anyone with information that could assist the investigation is asked to contact Surrey Police Service at 604-599-0502 and quote file 26-5005 (SP).
